"Poor aftercare from Trafford General"

About: Trafford General Hospital

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

A couple of weeks ago, I went into anaphylactic shock after using a nicotine patch. The ambulance took quite a while to come (no availability) and I think I was left unaided for quite sometime before being picked up by an ambulance car and being taken to Trafford General.

When I arrived at Trafford General, I was left on a trolley for a number of hours.

When I left with an epipen, I felt I was discharged without adequate information for aftercare. I needed information on how to use the epipen and what I could or could not take with it because I've got a lot of allergies. I also wanted some info on what I could use instead of a nicotine patch

As well as this, I was disappointed at the lack of communication between the hospital doctors and my GP. Despite some of allergies being diagnosed at Trafford General, and having gone in with anaphylactic shock, the hospital didn't have a list of my allergies available to them and therefore didn't give me any medication.
