"What a relief to find a good hospital"

About: Hammersmith Hospital

My partner has been appallingly treated by various hospitals and doctors in Hampshire. He was taken to Hammersmith for surgery because he very wisely refused to let Southampton General anywhere near him. It was so nice to be able to relax and know that the staff looked after him 24/7 and he didn't call me once to complain he wasn't being looked after. In all stays in Hampshire Hospitals he called me several times a day because he couldn't access the most basic services (eg drinking water and going to the toilet). My one reservation with the hospital is the availability of medication which, although no worse than any other hospital he has been at, is still very much dependent on procedures which deny patients their medication because the pharmacy has their chart or hasn't got their medicine available. Not one member of staff could be faulted in their care.
