"Following a fall on an icy pavement, ..."

About: Bradford Royal Infirmary

(as the patient),

What I liked

Following a fall on an icy pavement, I had to visit A&E.

I required several xrays and the two gentlemen in the emergency xray department were both very professional, and at the same time were caring and sympathetic. As I was still in a lot of pain and am obese, getting me into the right positions for the xrays was difficult to say the least, but I was very impressed by the staff's humour and patience with me.

What could be improved

More information, at the patient assessment level, about waiting times. Most people understand the triage system and being told that you would have a wait of about an hour, or about three hours or whatever would be preferable to just being told to take a seat and wait.
