"Not fit to put on a plaster"

About: Northwick Park Hospital

I was admitted with acute appendicitis on a Friday, yet they did not operate on me until the Sunday, causing it to rupture and fill me with so much poison that I could have died in the bed. The doctors were very reluctant to tell me anything, then I had to have another operation on the intestine, and now I am dealing with two fistulas, all of which I feel was caused by the delay in operating in the first place. However, when my care was transferred to St. Mark's Hospital (on the same site), I cannot give enough praise to the staff there, they did everything they could to help me.
