I was originally recommended for this treatment by Mr David Smith at the Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield back in 2009.

I had Right Renal Cryo Ablation Treatment

At this point in time, this treatment was quite pioneering in its field. Mr David Smith gave me the option of being put forward as conventional surgery would have been quite a considerable risk given that I have only half a kidney. I was accepted by Dr Wah who guided me through the whole process.

Unfortunately, in February 2014 I was diagnosed as having another tumor in my kidney. Dr Wah again accepted me onto the program and I underwent surgery again shortly afterwards.

I cannot praise Dr Wah and her team enough. Throughout the whole process, they make me feel welcome, are reassuring and have the time an patience to put you at ease and your mind at rest.

It is wonderful to be treated as a person and not just as if you are on a production line. Her work is phenomenal. Her enthusiasm and commitment are second to none and I cannot thank her and her staff enough. Without this treatment I would be on dialysis.
