"excellent treatment"

About: Broomfield Hospital

Last year I was unlucky enough to had a damaged retina, I attended A and E and within four hours I was in the Ophthalmology clinic. I considered that to be fairly quick and I was kept well informed. On my arrival at the clinic I was seen and dealt with by the Consultant, what a pleasant and helpful gentleman. I was admitted to following week for an operation, again excellent treatment. I had to return several times and often there was a long wait but to me this was not a problem, the delay was shown on a board as being caused by emergencies, of course I had been an emergency several weeks earlier. I did hear patients complain and felt it was unreasonable, I was more interested in getting treated. I must compliment all staff, consultants, doctors, nurses and reception staff for the excellent treatment and the fact I have restored vision. . The only negative comment is re the parking, a major problem I found. I had to leave my wife with the car in an area on the far side of the hospital ( near the staff car park), there were no available spaces in the car parks. This has been a problem for a long time and really does need urgent attention particularly in view of the continued development of the site.
