Having suffered a bite and visited the walk in centre, my condition got worse increasing infection and cellulitis and so via my GP I had to visit the department on two consecutive days.
From reception to nurse to dr I cannot fault anyone. I was seen quickly, assessed and treated within an optimum time. The staff were welcoming and friendly, kept me informed, answered my questions and looked after me very well.
I will now need to go back to the medical assessment unit for perhaps a week to receive intravenous antibiotics so let us hope the positive experience continues.
