"Botox Treatment for Migraines"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

After suffering from chronic migraines and vertigo a few times a week for over a year, I was extremely grateful for the referral and the Botox treatment, which is working in improving my condition dramatically. I've now had 2 treatments and I'm feeling better and better each day. The consultant is a lovely, pleasant and very understanding doctor who is providing a treatment for those of us who are at an all-time low with the constant migraine headaches, nausea and fatigue. They take the time to explain everything fully and I have found the Botox to be the only thing that has helped me get back to work, be able to be involved in family activities again and catch up with friends. In short I am beginning to get my life back again and I'm extremely grateful. I hope that the doctor receives the recognition they deserve for the good work they are doing for migraine sufferers and that the funding will continue for years to come for this treatment to be provided.

Thank you for your feedback. We will ensure this is shared with the neurology team who will be delighted to know that you have been doing so well following your treatment and that you have been able to get back to work and enjoy activities with your family.
