"Acute Referral Unit, Gynae & CCU"

My daughter was referred by our GP as she had a bad case of tonsillitis which was not responding to antibiotics. After a thorough investigation it was discovered that she was also suffering from a high temperature and a severe kidney infection and was admitted immediately to the gynae ward. After a week of scans, treatment and tests it was thought that the infection had spread to her heart so she was transferred to the cardiac unit. I can't fault the staff in any of the departments, they were great. Our problems started today. It looks like the kidney infection has come back. Our GP asked if there had been any follow up appointments (there were none) and when she tried to access my daughter's hospital records, she found that none had been kept. She was in hospital for a week, I cannot believe there are no records of all the blood tests and scans she had.
