Communcation with close relatives of patient.

I was shocked to find my relative who had undergone major abdominal surgery to be squeezed in a room with 4 other patients who had also had surgery. It was very difficult not to impose on the neighbouring patient's space, in fact make physical contact. It is no wonder that there are so many hospital infections especially in the compromised patients.

As Florence Nightingale stated if you have patients too close to each other there will be infections.
