"poor communication"

About: Nottingham Woodthorpe Hospital

Went here in Jan 2014, as an out-patient for "women's problems". (I had previously been to City hospital, the year before, and they were marvellous) The receptionist was unsmiling, unwelcoming. I waited 45 minutes over my appointment time, and then saw the consultant. She didn't have any knowledge of my prior problems/tests or treatment, as she didn't have any of my medical notes! I had to tell her about everything, dating back 10 months. She didn't examine me, or do any tests. She said she'd see me in a few months - I went back 2 weeks ago, told the same consultant I'd been having problems again, and this time she examined me, I had some tests done, and she offered an alternative long-term treatment. She said she'd send a letter to my G.P., with a copy to me. ....... I had the letter today - but it was the original letter she had sent in January! So no use at all. I rang the Woodthorpe, asked to speak to the secretary, only to hear she only works 2 days a week (and today isn't one of them). So, I still have pain and problems, still have no results from the tests, and no idea if alternative treatment.
