"There would be no better NHS hospital to be a patient in"

About: Golden Jubilee National Hospital / Cardiac Surgery

(as a relative),

Recently my Mum stayed at the Golden Jubilee Hospital and underwent a valve replacement operation. I could not praise the hospital and all of the staff there highly enough. From the reception staff to the surgeons the professional manner in which they go about their job is outstanding. The hospital itself is by far the cleanest and nicest hospital I have ever visited. The cleaning staff were meticulous in their job. Thankfully my Mum is on the road to recovery and I am sure it is in no small part to the care she received. Thank you for your help everyone. No one likes hospitals but if you do need to be a patient I would say there would be no better NHS hospital to be a patient in.

Dear Smiler66,

Thank you for using Patient Opinion to tell us about your (and your mother's) experience of the Golden Jubilee National Hospital.

Patient-cetnred care is at the heart of what we do and we're delighted to hear that this came across from every member of staff you came into contact with.

As you say, nobody likes coming into hospital, but it's good to hear that your mother's experience was a positive one and that she is now well on the road to recovery.

We value all feedback - both positive and negative - so we will share your kind comments with all of the teams involved.

Best wishes to you both.

Kind regards,

Christine
