"Terminal stroke patient"

About: Torbay Hospital

My mother in law had a severe stroke and was admitted to A&E, transferred to EAU3 ward and subsequently to George Earle Ward where she died 6 days later. The care and kindness she received throughout was fantastic. The staff from the paramedics onward were highly professional, caring and understanding. Throughout she was kept comfortable and clean. The staff were also very compassionate in working with my wife and I. Tea and biscuits in the middle of the night were greatly appreciated! Thanks to everyone

Please accept our condolences on the sad loss of your mother-in-law. It is really heartening to hear about the care and kindness she received during her last days and also about the compassion shown to your family as a whole. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment; your kind comments will be shared with our staff. South Devon Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
