I initially went to the Urgent Care unit. I was seen promptly by a triage nurse and a wonderful Dr who put me at ease and made me feel like I was receiving a top class service. I was moved into the Minors, then Majors wards, each time being seen promptly by welcoming Drs and Nurses, a student nurse stood out as an example of the excellent level of care that is practiced. I had a fairly long wait there, long enough to observe the dozens of Drs and Nurses who work so hard and do an amazing job, often dealing with tricky customers. Throughout these frustrating (but inevitable) waits, I was given food and drinks as well as regular check ups. Once admitted to Ward 15, i met a new host of hospital staff who were always patient and kind. My visit ended up lasting about 10 hours in total - a very long time. But the procedures were so thorough that I can not complain with the service from the people who are working at ground level. I had to attend a follow up clinic where once again I encountered fantastic staff. A truly inspirational bunch of people.
