"4 month wait for gastroenterology tests, 9 week wait for results ! "

I, less than patiently, waited 17 weeks for Manometry and Ph studies tests that would determine my suitability for surgery - something I urgently needed. ( I am dangerously underweight due to a combination of two gastro-oesophageal illnesses - BMI 17.3 and need surgery to allow me to eat solid food again.)

I was informed by the technician doing the tests that the results would be with my NHS consultant within 24hours. When I contacted my consultant for an appointment to get the results of the tests I was given an appointment for 9 weeks later!

Have the results been forwarded to my G.P ? No! The last time I was admitted to hospital for 4 days due to the above illnesses it took three months for my G.P to recieve any information whatsoever!
