Attended A & E yesterday as my father had fallen out of bed and banged his head. The nurse who dressed his wound was very professional and caring and kept us well informed of everything that was happening. I'm sorry that I cannot remember her name but she was a lovely friendly nurse who made us all feel very well cared for. My father was then transferred for observation to the Medical Emergency Ward (H3), just in time for breakfast, where the young man who attended him showed lots of patience with both my father and me. I must point out that my father is 89 and has a catalogue of medical/geriatric issues, but was dealt with care and dignity at all times. Later in the day my father was seen by a doctor who was also a great credit to the hospital - friendly, caring and open. Another young man then re-dressed his wound and he also was very friendly and caring. The attitude of all the staff involved was exemplary and made a bad situation much more bearable.
