My depression has worsened recently and I have been told by my CPN to ring the Crisis Team if I need support. I phoned the team several nights ago and was greeted by a nurse who kept telling me that the computers were not working, going off from my call to chat to someone else, and who advised me to take a tablet and try to get some sleep. This despite the fact that I was feeling suicidal. I felt as if I was getting nowhere. Later that evening, feeling worse, I tried ringing the Crisis Team again and spoke to another member of staff. I felt as if my needs, again, were not taken seriously. Despite the fact that I told this person I felt flat and could not function, and I felt very depressed, they sounded to be eating on the other end of the phone, sounded disinterested and bored with me, and I vowed I would never waste my time ringing this team again. There are a few good nurses on this team, but it feels like half of them just want to fob you off and can't be bothered to take your concerns seriously. The service I have had from this team has really gone downhill and I have completely lost confidence in using them.
