"I have used 6 hospitals in U.K. ..."

About: Calderdale Royal Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I have used 6 hospitals in U.K. with home being Cal. Royal where I go for yearly bladder cancer checks and have been a patient 8 times. only once did they have to rearrange a procedure due to lack of supplies. They have been consistent in high standards Usually well planned so not kept waiting too long.

Clean crisp friendly professional helpful caring exactly what one should and can expect here for the contributions made. support them they are worth it.

What could be improved

lack of supplies is never good. especially when it comes to bladder cancer checkups. So when I arrived and was told I would have to come back on another day it does not feel good. Sitting for an hour waiting in the lounge, costly Taxi cabs both ways, anxiety about invasive cystoscopy, anxiety over what may be found, time off work, planning for the discomfort, all to be told,"we don't have enough scopes and we can't get anymore sent over today so you will have to come back" Well it's not good enough is it, they knew I was coming they made the appointment they should have been prepared.

Anything else?

Why not have the Puricell right on the 10 foot tall sign displayed asking people to use it? There at the front door is a huge sign saying use the stuff but there is none around the sign to comply with the request! This would be the most impulsive behavior of anyone reading the sign, the desired behavior of the sponsors of the sign, and yet NO PURICELL IN SIGHT TO USE!
