"Lack of communication from surgery to the ward"

About: Basildon University Hospital

My Husbund was admitted Monday for a operation on his broken shoulder. Dropped him off at Elections Admissions at 7am, was told I would be called when he had had the op. Come 6 pm and ringing round since 2pm still no one knew where he was until he called totally out of it at 8pm to say they had no beds and he was still in recovery! Overall service was good and clean although there keeping relatives informed is disgraceful! At one point I was told he was in Southend!!! Kept passing me from ward to ward with the same " his not here" story.
