"Mammogram"

About: Woodlands

I had Brest cancer 5 years ago and had the most brilliant tratment at QM, better that I could have had private. Luckily it was curable and have had six monthly check ups ever since I would say 95% of the staff are caring and understanding but 5% have have no bedside skills at all. I am a worrier and when the staff relise this they put me at ease. I am not a problem patient and also respect advise I am given and if you read my file you can see that I quite a pleasant person. My nerves are now shot to pieces I am always told the xray looks ok but needs to go under higher definition which I understand. I know it is your policy not to say anything, but there are ways of saying it, every mammogram I always come out with an open mind, because the radiographer has been very pleasent and reassuring. I know everybody can't be the same and some are stiff and starchy or maybe having a bad day or have no people skills., but when someone as nervous as me and I am sure many others, people skills would very much help in their training to make people feel more at ease.
