"Fractured care"

About: Torbay Hospital

After multiple fractures to my foot in August 2013, a catalogue of delays and errors means that I am still sitting awaiting a fusion, in constant crippling pain ! Being held by my toes on the night of the injury whilst in A&E started the rot, and delays to urgent scans, no x rays for 6 months from the date of injury, no consistency of medical staff at appointments and other disasters have left me still in a walking boot, constant crippling pain, a deformed foot, and on a cocktail of medication just to cope with the pain. I have hardly slept in weeks, and I have no date yet for the operation. I e mailed PALS on 23rd June, and received an email the next morning stating that they would endeavour to ring me that day....... I am still waiting !
