I was in A&E at the BRI and then two other wards (2 and 6) following a cycling accident and a head injury. The care of the nursing staff was exemplary: courteous, friendly, efficient, caring. The same was true of the auxiliary staff. Tea and coffee was brought round regularly; the food was really quite good. The wards were clean, if somewhat too warm (it was a week of hot weather). I would have preferred to have seen more of the doctors and to have been able to discuss my condition and its consequences with them. Nonetheless, I was doing well, and was really just under observation, and so perhaps I not a priority. I believe that the excellent care made a significant contribution to my feeling better and able to return home.
"Excellent care"
