"Excellent care on c31"

I can not praise the staff enough for the fantastic care I recieved on c31. I had bariatric surgery normally in 3 days but had to stay 6 due to other problems,staff couldn't do enough for me. The worked well as a team, and very uplifting , smiling faces. The only concerns I had was meals for bariatric patients are non existent , we are told eat protein , all i was offered was soup and mash. When I asked about this was told normal bariatric patients don't stay longer than 3 days !!! But they must always allow for the exception. I did get some meals after speaking to dietitian. Please speak to dietitian and patients deserve better. Keep up the good , excellent work all staff on c31 x

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback following your stay on Ward C31. We are pleased that the overall care provided to you was of a high quality. It was disappointing to note your comments regarding the meals served to you following your procedure and we have made some further enquiries regarding this. The options that should have been made available to you clearly weren't and for this we sincerely apologise. The catering team is disappointed that this was the case as they have worked extremely hard, with advice from our dietitians, to provide a range of pureed meals. We have brought your comments to the attention of the ward staff so they are able to ensure an improved experience for future patients. Thank you once again.
