"Techniques are very simple to learn and they can make a big difference"

About: Inclusion Matters Liverpool

(as the patient),

I found the CBT therapy techniques I learned to be very helpful. They gave me a different set of responses that helped me deal with my anxiety problems.

I will continue to use these methods each time I have an incident. They taught me a new way of processing my thoughts so that the usual cycle of fight/flight response could be analysed, externalised and diluted into a more rational perspective.

I would also encourage anyone thinking about taking this course to do it, as the techniques are very simple to learn and they can make a big difference to your life. Even if you still get the same problems it can help you deal with and get past them much more successfully.

Dear Armies417,

It is great to hear that you found CBT so helpful and that you have learnt skills to help you cope in future anxiety provoking situations. I'm sure other people considering CBT will find your feedback very encouraging.

Best wishes

Tracey
