"Dreadful experience"

About: Luton & Dunstable Hospital

I was 15 weeks pregnant and had some bleeding in the middle of the night. I came to L&D hospital and after hanging around waiting to be seen by a registrar, I had an initial dicussion with a student doctor. She was unfriendly and had a poor bedside manor. The registrar who came to see me eventually was initially unable to get the scanning machine working, and also had a very bad bedside manor. He eventually told me that the baby was find and made me feel like I was making a big fuss. He told me I had an vaginal infection and gave me antibiotics but said he didn't know why I was bleeding. In the end I miscarried a week later of PPROM and my swab results showed I had no infection. I am very angry about the way I was treated and hope no other woman has to deal with the sub-standard care I received.
