"Duty of care? Lack of."

My daughter was admitted today suffering bleeding whilst pregnant, after suffering two miscarriages already this year. On arrival the receptionist was very rude ,and arrogant. The staff didn't smile the whole time we was there, nurses and auxiliaries we're very rude and obnoxious towards other patients, talking to elderly people in such a disrespectful manner. The system of care is a joke people on trollies in corridors at one point my daughters bed was pushed up in an actual door way, and the beds were been moved like a production line. My daughter needed to go to the toilet and I approached a member of staff as my daughter was told not to use the toilet, and after nearly 15 minutes was spoke to like something the member of staff had stepped in. The doctor we saw was lovely, about the only nice member of staff in the place. We were basically told to go home and return to the early pregnancy unit tomorrow, which after suffering 2 miscarriages already should of been dealt with sooner, but we were told there's no one there to do a scan, which I find hard to believe a hospital as big as HRI and not one person there to do it. I think that the staff need to go back to college/Uni to be taught bedside manners again, how would they feel if it was their child, parent, sibling or grandparent been spoke to and treated in such a disgusting manner? I appreciate there is staffing problems in the hospital,but come on a friendly manner and politeness cost nothing.
