"Admitted via A&E pains in both jaws and slightly..."

About: Northwick Park Hospital

Was on holiday visiting my daughter in harrow. Had occurrences of severe pain in both my jaws. Phoned 111 and got excellent advice and well treated, ther also suggested they call an ambulance. An ambulance arrived and did the usual checks and took my history and advised I go to Northwick park to see the doctors. Was seen to speedily and politely and had the whole episode explained to me. All the staff I meet very very competent and professional and I was there only 2 hours. I had worked as a manager in one of the East london groups including Barts for 20 years until I retired to Ireland. I was very happy with my stay except the suspected prognosis which is that I'd had arthiritis in both my jaws. So many thanks to the wonderful staff especially the two ambulance personnel who calmed me down and allayed my fears. Thanks

I was delighted to learn that you were so pleased with your experience when in A&E and will, of course, pass on your very kind comments to all the staff concerned. I know that the doctors, the nurses and the many other people who contribute to the care of patients, will greatly appreciate your kind words. It makes such a difference to morale to know that efforts have been appreciated.
