"My Colonoscopy delay and lost results"

About: Grantham & District Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

Firstly, the CT scanner kept failing. I spent 2 hours whilst people tried to reboot it and contacted Philips

Secondly, after 3 weeks no-one (including my GP) can find my results. Well, it's only potential bowel cancer, so it's not like it's important or anything! They lost my daughters results in a few months ago.

We do offer our sincere apologies and believe that the unacceptable actions, or lack of action, resulted from a sequence of difficulties associated with machine breakdowns and it seems likely that unsuccessful attempts to resolve the problems, and the stress associated with the technical issues, at the time resulted in poor communications internally. The outcome was a failure to communicate adequately with you.
