"Maternity"

About: Lister Hospital

The Lister Triage is severely understaffed and really needs at least one doctor permanently on shift rather than one popping in as and when they can. The consultant led maternity unit was amazing, from the facilities to the staff and the care they provide. I felt safe and supported throughout my delivery. I was kept well informed and felt included in the decisions about the birth. The breastfeeding support given after the birth surpassed my expectations. I needed some extra help to establish feeding which without it I don't think I would have been able to persevere and would have ended up bottle feeding. I was pleased that my husband had the option of staying with me on the ward at such an important time.

Many thanks for your feedback - glad that your birthing experience went so well - we'll pass your message back to our maternity team colleagues, including the comments about the triage service. In the meantime please accept our congratulations on the birth of your baby.
