"Having an Endoscopy."

About: Royal Berkshire Hospital

I was informed by my GP that I should have an endoscopy. I chose to go to the Royal Berks because my husband had been very well looked after during a visit to the Cardiac unit a few years ago and having been put on warfarin has been looked after very well every year to date. Having been given an appointment quite quickly I was apprehensive about having the endoscopy procedure. There was no need for my apprehension as I was taken through each stage and told what it would entail and what was required of me. On the day of my visit I was called on time and again talked through the procedure which took place without any problems. My husband was then called in and together we were given the findings in print and talked through them by a member of the team. I was on my way home within the 1 to 2 hour time scale given.
