from the minute we walked into A&E there was a problem GP letter in hand and still had to take a ticket for triage ? taken through to A&E to be spoken to as if totally incompetant! I tried to explain the situation and medication my husband is on to be told it would be handled. very rare complex condition and the nursing sister was not interested her words were i can give pain releif ? his medication involved a little more than a paracetamol. staff change over took place and he wanted pain releif he asked and then was told no we cant give that sort of medication and he self medicated ! 6 hours later he was put on a ward after following consultant recomendations we were ignored and the correct team were not informed and 9 days later still as an inpatient he was eventually seen by the correct team and still is a poorly man. communication is lacking in all departments of this hospital sadly and such a shame because the nursing staff take the brunt of unhappy families !
"communication"
