"my stay on ward 18 and icu febuary 2014"

About: Arrowe Park Hospital

I was brought in by ambulance from mill lane walk in centre, I thought I had a chest infection but it turned out to be pneumonia and an infected gall bladder, although my recollections are a bit sparse (morephine is good for pain but not to remember things) I cannot recommend icu or ward 18 highly enough the treatment was first class. my only observation is the nurses in icu.are working long hours with minimal breaks in what is a high concentration job, I would recommend additional coffee breaks for them.

Thank you very much for your kind comments. We are extremely grateful that you have taken the time to provide this feedback. Our staff work hard to try to ensure that a patient’s experience whilst at the hospital is as pleasant and comfortable as possible, and they are always considerably heartened and motivated on learning how much their efforts have been appreciated. We have passed your kind sentiments to staff in our Gastroenterology Department. If we can be of further assistance in any way, please do not hesitate to contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on freephone 0800 432 0251, email wih-tr.pals@nhs.net or in writing to PALS, Arrowe Park Hospital, Arrowe Park Road, Upton, Wirral, CH49 5PE.
