I had a right hip replacement on 12th December 2008. The treatment by the consultant was excellent and a great success. The ward was clean and the food was not too bad. I am not used to being in hospital so I found the noise especially at nights annoying. There seemed to be no consideration to patients trying to sleep. I was there for six nights and did not sleep properly for all of them. I found this a problem for my recovery because I needed to rest properly.
