"Praise due to C9 Teenage Cancer Trust Unit"

My son, now 22, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia last July, and was admitted to C9 for his treatment. Despite his age, he was very scared and confused, but the wonderful doctors and nurses immediately settled him in a bed, and made him feel at ease. This ward does not even look like a hospital ward, it is tailored especially for the needs of young people with cancer between the ages of 14 and 24, and it has made a world of difference to how my son has dealt with his illness. He is a quiet lad by nature,but all the staff on the ward went out of their way to make him feel safe, valued and cared for, and I thank them from the bottom of my heart. He is still receiving treatment there as an Outpatient, and the treatment and care he has received is marvellous. I trust all the people in charge of my son's care one hundred percent, and I will always be thankful he was sent to this marvellous hospital. He is still in remission and doing well. Thank you so much to everyone involved. It is thanks to you I still have my son.
