"Pitiful"

In the last few weeks, my Daughter and Son have had the misfortune to be admitted to Dewsbury Hosp. and an even greater misfortune to be under the care? of the same Consultant. Both were advised that they would be better served by being at home, and being treated as an out-patient. Nothing has come of these promises. It would seem that, rather than going into hospital to be cured, Dewsbury Hosp. now seem to place a greater emphasis on getting people out of the hospital beds, rather than treating them expeditiously (and therefore more cost effectively)
