"Dcn western general edinburgh"

About: Neurosciences (DCN) / Neurology

(as the patient),

Admitted to western general dcn after sah immediate treatment was excellent but some of the nursing staff I came into contact with were very unprofessional. Two nurses had a full discussion about a patient in my ward their comments could be heard by everyone and the patient in question was very embarrassed, so unprofessional.

Overall the nurses were very good just a few bad apples.

Aftercare and follow up is very bad. Consultants make decisions without discussions with patient specialist nurses are just voice box for consultants I was told the consultant has made their decision it is what is is get over it

Firstly I would like to apologise for the delay in responding. Thank you for your feedback.

I am pleased to hear that overall you found the nurses were very good and I will pass this on to the team. However, I am sorry to hear that you found some of the nursing staff you came into contact with were unprofessional and that your after care was poor.

If you would like to send your details to the Customer Relations and Feedback Team we can fully investigate. We can be contacted on 0131 536 3370, email craft@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk or you can write to the Customer Relations and Feedback Team at Waverley Gate, 2-4 Waterloo Place, Edinburgh, EH1 3EG.
