"Maternity unit and the Special Care Baby Unit"

I wanted to write to you to offer our thanks to all the staff at Warwick Hospital for their care and support in the safe delivery by the midwife of our twin grandchildren. Both my wife and I were very impressed with the exemplary quality of care offered by Warwick Hospital not only in relation to all the staff; midwifery, nursing, medical and support staff but also in relation to the facilities in the Maternity unit and particularly the Special Care Baby Unit which reflects great credit on the Trust. As you may imagine I am ,in a very real sense ,writing on behalf of our son and his partner who together with the twins were clearly the main “dramatis personae” but are rather busy now! so perhaps you would accept this on all our behalf. I should be very pleased if you could copy this letter to all those involved, particularly in the direct care of the twins and the Consultant, the Registrar and colleagues who carried out the emergency caesarean. All births are a cause for great celebration and none more so than in this case which was very largely due to the high standard of care experienced. I should perhaps in fairness, explain that I worked in the NHS for 36 years as a Manager, including some 20+ years as a CEO of various Health Authorities and hospitals. Thus I can claim some understanding of the pressures etc involved in delivering high quality services which makes it a great pleasure to have been able to write in this way. I will also be happy if you wish to use this email more widely to reflect our deep thanks and appreciation to all concerned
