I had gone in for an arranged operation, but due to complications because of a blood disorder I may have, my stay was extended. I cannot fault a single person in this hospital. Porters, nurses, doctors, catering staff, cleaners, radiologists, anesthetists, operating staff. Every single person I encountered was warm, friendly and cheerful. They took time to talk to you, no matter how manic it got, you felt cared for, and it did get manic for them. There were a lot of agency nurses during my stay, but I found that they picked up the caring attitude from the regular staff and they put everything they had into care and attention of all patients, day and night. The ward was always clean, someone was always on hand to help you out, the catering staff delivered the meals with a smile and a joke, the cleaners even took the time to see how you were getting on each day as they made sure the area around you was spotless. I was in Kingfisher Ward during my stay, and I really cannot thank every single member of staff in there enough for what they did for me during my nearly week long stay.
"Excellent quality of care from start to finish"
