"Shocking!"

Attended urgent care with a suspected fracture to a finger and was told I was looking at a 2hr wait. 3hrs later, and with many others being bumped up ahead of me, I was eventually sent for an x-ray, but only because the department was about to close. I was then called in to see the clinician who couldn't identify which joint he needed to look at on screen, looked at the wrong finger, then the wrong joint. I actually had to point out to him which joint he was meant to be looking at! He then couldn't tell if the finger was broken or not, diagnosed ligament damage to be on the safe side and attached a metal brace around the finger. Upside down, and clamped around the injured knuckle instead of above and below as it should have been fitted. Overall, very angry about the way it was dealt with and ended up having to go to Frimley for a second opinion, where they actually know what they're doing.
