"Thanks and praise for excellent treatment and care"

I just wanted to thank everyone who was involved in looking after my 14 year old daughter last Friday. She was referred from the fracture clinic onto the Rainforest ward to have surgery to repair a broken collar bone. Everyone we met, from the consultant in the fracture clinic to the anaethetist, nurses and auxiliary staff were fantastic in the way they looked after her - and me. I was impressed with how everyone spoke to my daughter directly as this gave her confidence and consequently she took it all in her stride. Procedures were always clearly explained and there were opportunities to ask questions or raise concerns. As a parent I was impressed with the way everyone worked together across different departments and also with the speed at which things happened; we were in the fracture clinic at 10:00am and she was in theatre by 1:45pm on the same day! I just want to say how thankful I am that we live in a country where such wonderful treatment and care is available freely at the point of need. A sincere thanks again to everyone who was involved.
