"how many hours can you afford to wait?"

About: The Whittington Hospital

Because if the answer is less than four look elsewhere. Chaos rules, there seeming to be no order in which patients are seen, and some of the staff are downright rude.

We are very sorry about your experience of the emergency department and that staff did not treat you with the courtesy you deserve. Sometimes we have delays which are unplanned, however we expect staff to keep you fully informed of the reasons for the delays and provide you with an anticipated time for you to be seen. The waiting area in the emergency department is shared with patients waiting to be seen in the urgent care centre and the GP services which can give the impression that some patients arriving later are being seen first. Thank you for your feeback which we have shared with staff in the department.
