"Physio very disorganised and off hand"

About: Ripon and District Community Hospital

I was referred to physio for 2 separate issues, one with knee and one with shoulder . They kept giving me exercises that I couldn't do because of my shoulder problem but every time I raised this I was told " we aren't here to talk about your shoulder", which wasn't helpful. It transpired that they had misfired the 2nd referral of just attached it to the first one and the physio hadn't seen it. It took weeks and weeks of chasing to sort it when it was there all the time. This absolutely compromised the care I received and I got the impression they weren't interested. My physio spent the vast majority of my 20 minute appointment times treating other patients instead resulting in my actual appointments being about 2 minutes long! The sad thing is that these physios seem to know their stuff but it's clear that the internal processes let things down badly. Department is conveniently located - if you can get a parking space that is. It's much cleaner and better maintained than other areas of Ripon hospital too and my wife had outstanding post operative physio there after her knee surgery - unfortunately my experience left me feeling very let down.
