My Mum was brought to the Cumberland Infirmary in the early hours of Tuesday 17 June, and she could not have been in better hands. Admittedly, she was "out of it" for most of the assessment, but the staff were very reassuring to me and kept me informed about the procedures she would be undergoing. On Larch Ward, the staff were constantly attentive, keeping her bed dry and checking vital functions; oxygen levels, heart rate, BP, etc. All staff were professional, but kept us at our ease and answered our questions as fully and honestly as possible. As we were on holiday in Carlisle, the Cumberland Infirmary was naturally not one of the sights on our itinerary, but our experience of the nursing care there made us appreciate the dedication and skill of all of the medical staff involved. Thank you all very much.
"Excellent care and treatment given to Mum on..."
