"A and E visit"

About: Chorley & South Ribble Hospital

I visited at approximately 8pm with a family member and i was concerned at what I witnessed and heard. A patient screaming in pain and doctors unwilling to help her until asked by the Sister. Patients terminal illnesses being discussed in earshot of everyone in the department! I could go on .... as ex NHS nursing staff I am disgusted. No respect ..... No sense of urgency .. until you are at risk of breaching the 4 hr target then they move quickly to deal with you. I must say staff communication was good concerning the England football score. I heard a running commentary about that throughout the match ..... Not good , it doesn't inspire me to return to the NHS but maybe I should as I'm sure I could make a 100% improvement within the week!
