"Post operative stay on Firth 9"

About: Northern General Hospital

I was moved onto Firth 9 after 2 nights on HDU. The staff were all lovely, friendly and supportive. I was asked to carry out a patient feedback survey and one question asked whether any staff stood out on the ward. At that time, I felt that all staff were fantastic, but now wish to mention one of the Health Care Support team. She was just what the doctor ordered! She offered the right level of support to meet my needs and gave me the encouragement I needed to gain my independence as my recovery progressed. She was friendly, efficient and it was obvious she loved her job. I would like to think that she's considering furthering her career to that of full time nursing, as I feel she would be an asset to any team she was part of.
