"I suppose you will moderate this ..."

About: New Cross Hospital

(as a relative),

What could be improved

I suppose you will moderate this out, but my dear father died at New Cross Hospital. The Critical Care Unit fought so hard to save him, then after all their hard work, he was moved and left to rot in another ward. Nobody cared. His condition was difficult to manage, and nurses hated looking after him. They didn't care about him - he was 71 and not worth bothering about as far as they were concerned. There weren't enough nurses, that was the problem. They didn't have TIME to care. On the night he died, his morphine driver was nearly allowed to run out. I had to stand in the corridor and BEG AND PLEAD for it to be renewed. It was only renewed within MINUTES of it being empty. I HATE you for that. I will never forgive them for the torture they put him through on that ward. They should hang their heads in shame. He was previously fit and healthy, but because he was 71 they just wrote him off - not worth it. He didn't even have a serious illness. They couldn't even be bothered to find out what was wrong with him. They have broken the hearts of this family and should hang their heads in shame.
