"Total knee replacement"

About: Broadgreen Hospital

I had my tkr on the 20th march 2014 I was admitted to ward 1 and was very impressed with the cleanliness of the hospital and my ward . the staff were absolutely excellent from anaesthesia to surgeon to recovery room , back on the ward again this continued what ever I needed the staff were there not making me feel embarrassed at all . I hope you all know how much your combined care meant to me , as a patient you feel very vulnerable and all your care was so very appreciated, the only part of the system that disappointed me was that when at home I received a text asking me about my care on ward 1 I answered of course even after my phone carrier (t.mobile) advised me I would be charged your text stated It was free , which is it brg free or charged you may be missing out on a lot feedback. Many thanks to my consultant who did an excellent job. Marilyn scott

Response from Broadgreen Hospital

Thank you for your kind comments - we have passed this on to staff. The Friends and Family Test text is free. But thank you for giving us your feedback, as we know that some people will not respond if they think they will be charged. We will look into how we can reassure patients that the text is free. Best wishes.
