Having had a previous complicated birth at the London I was expecting the same, when I called on my way in I was simply told they were full for the foreseeable future and I had to go elsewhere, the barkantine was even suggested. Had they listened to my situation they should have known this was unrealistic. If they are that over stretched they should tell people before birth so alternative arrangements can be made, reducing stress at a very stressful time.
