"Reported Miscarriage but haven't examined..."

About: Newham General Hospital

I had an earlier pregnancy failure on March 2013 but I did have an appointment with the Newham general hospital (NGH) fertility clinic for the 23rd April 2014 appointment. I went to the NGH the same day, the receptionist told me that there is no appointment knowing I got pregnant last month. I never asked for the cancellation of the appointment nor have they ever informed me about the cancellation in correspondence. It was a sheer waste of my time and I was expecting some advice for getting pregnant again but there was no one from NHS to advise me. The staff agreed that it was there mistake hence; they provided me with another fertility clinic appointment for 28th May 2014. I went to the fertility clinic on 28th May they found that I am pregnant and asked me to visit my Stratford Village Surgery (SVS) GP for further guidance as they will not do any test without GPs letter. The SVS GP doctor had requested the EGAS unit in NGH that it is crucial to get immediate attention for me as I had already had a pregnancy failure. I got an appointment after a week time. I had Ultrasound test and found pregnant but the number of weeks cannot be determined. In the report, it was mentioned the CRL level is 5.7 mm. The EGAS doctor advises me to visit again after 2 weeks to know the pregnancy status. In my next and last visit the doctor found that my CRL level is 4.3 mm and it is a pregnancy failure. They haven’t done any blood test to check what is actually the reason for the CLR level going down. It was so frustrating for me. The doctor asked me to visit the hospital again after a week time to assure it’s a miscarriage. I will be going next week to see the doctor. There is no care and attention shown to a pregnant women knowing she is going to have a miscarriage. I am waiting to have the miscarriage natural but meanwhile the responsibility of the doctors should be to check me thoroughly to know the reason of failure using blood test. I am shocked to hear that no blood test done for me getting to know that I am pregnant. I visited SVS GP and the doctor suggested me to go private whereas I don’t have sufficient funds to visit private frequently. Hope NHS is listening to me and will take appropriate steps to improve the service offered to the patients like me. I am helpless and going through various thoughts and seeking support from online forums.
