"medical records missing, poor cleanliness in..."

About: Royal United Hospital

My appointment, which I had been waiting almost 2 months for, had to be terminated half way through when they realised that the results of my MRI scan, which had been done on 16th April, were not available. I was told I would have to come back in two weeks time for another appointment the treatment couch in the cubicle was split and had stuffing hanging out, looked dreadful and cannot have been very hygienic. Lumps of rust hanging off ceiling tiles near the waiting area. Physiotherapy is not listed as an option in the list of departments below, so have had to use "don't know"

We welcome your comments regarding your experience at the RUH as it helps us to identify problems and improve the quality of our service and care. We are sorry that you had a disappointing experience at the RUH. We are very aware that the ceiling does look unattractive, but we can confirm that it is safe and does not pose a risk to health. Due to the age and condition of the old part of the RUH in which Therapies is situated, plans are in place to build a brand new therapies centre which is due to open in 2016/2017. Following an investigation into your appointment, by both therapies and radiology at the RUH, we can confirm that the appointment was with the Sirona Orthopaedic Interface Service. Sirona have experienced some recent difficulties in sharing data and results across sites and clinics. The Sirona Healthcare administration team apologise for this delay and have confirmed that all patients have been re-booked. A new IT system is being put in place which should prevent this from reoccurring in the future.
